The music scene is always changing and many artists try to keep up. Some succeed by means of constant reinvention (David Bowie, Madonna), others by assuming a signature look they’ve created (The Ramones, Stevie Nicks). Some do the inexplicable and define cool by being total dorks (Elvis Costello, My Chemical Romance). Some try being hip and their failure at it borders on devastation (or crosses that border entirely). So in tribute we salute those pathetic attempts at staying "with it."
